Do it for the Gram!

Dear Diary,

“They ask me what I do and who I do it for”……the gram! That’s who lol. My vacation is not complete until I get that one EPIC photo to post on the gram (and to print of course) I hear a lot of people say they don’t care about getting any photos at all, but to each his own. At the end of the day when I don’t get any souvenirs, I have my photos. Most people will post a million photos on their vacation and it drives me insane. I had someone post 63 pics from one 4-day vacation. That’s what facebook is for lol. All it takes is that one epic photo to satisfy me. Yes we all post extras just to $#!+ on everyone (or maybe because we actually have some nice photos that needs to be seen lol) but for whatever reason you post, its all for the likes. Keep in mind, you can use up to 30 hashtags per IG post to get those photos noticed on more feeds! Getting featured on a major page is pretty equivalent to winning a Grammy or Oscar if you ask me lol.

A few IG tips:

Don’t kill a good caption by posting your hastags there. Instead, post your hashtags as the first comment. It looks cleaner! I usually open my notes section and use a bullet followed by hitting ‘return’ twice, (I do this 5 times so I end up with 5 bullets). Then I post my 30 hashtags there.

Post hashtags that relate to your photo. If you’re on the beach at 7pm, hashtag what beach it is, what city & state, hashtag sunset etc etc. I hate when I click on a south beach hashtag and I see photos of Tokyo (side eye). These people are just going about it the wrong way.

Most pages require you to post clear full size pics. That means no picstitch, no blurred photos, no cropped photos etc
