Hey I’m Anisa! Your love/interest in travel has brought you to the right place! This blog was created to encourage everyone to get out and see the world using my diary tips and tricks as your guide. I am thrilled to share my travel experiences with you, and beyond traveling; I hope to inspire you to live free. I am an Atlanta based millennial (lets ditch the age lol) and I have decided to let you all get in the inside scoop on my unforgettable travel journey. Welcome to the pages of my diary! Read below to know more about me:
How do I start this? My name is Anisa and I like long walks on the beach. Ha duhhhhh so cliche ha but more about me: I was born in Miami, Florida-the beautiful sunshine state. (This is why I avoid all cold destinations as much as possible). I am a middle child (who acts like an only child #notsorry lol) but this is the reason I think I started to “run away” and travel. I have an older brother and a younger sister who I try to motivate to travel like me. I moved to Georgia with my entire family when I was 16 and we have all been here ever since.
I graduated from Georgia State University, the real GSU #STATEnotsouthern with a degree in Kinesiology & Health. I was supposed to graduate and go straight to physical therapy school but my internship director told me “I will not write your reference letter until I see that you have lived a little”. I didn’t know what that meant at the time so I started attending concerts and events all around the city. I went to Paris as a graduation gift to myself and I just haven’t sat down yet. It’s been a few YEARS since I left my internship and after looking at all the checked off things on my bucket list, I’m wondering if he’s willing to write that reference letter now ha ha.
When i’m not at work making drinks and serving people ranch all day, you can find me somewhere around the world chasing a 5:00 happy hour! I decided to start a travel blog because social media is becoming more and more powerful everyday that people notice my travels more and I find myself answering the same questions repetitively. I usually get a lot of people that tell me they are inspired by my travels that one day they hope to go. Hopefully my blog will answer all of your questions and it be the ultimate itinerary for everyone who’s ‘worried’ about going abroad.
I never traveled for the “likes”. My dad was always into aviation and kind of installed the travel bug in us. My family traveled a lot when I was little, especially cruises or for the summer when my parents would send us off to visit family. We were always attending anything happening in Miami; concerts, parades, museums, the circus, the fair etc. I’m not sure when I became an adrenaline junkie because I remember I used to be terrified getting on roller coasters, but now I have no problem jumping out of planes and off of cliffs.
I am proud to say that I am obsessed with cookies . I mean I just really love chocolate chip, macadamia nut, peanut butter, Oreos yum yum yummmmm. You can guarantee to find a hidden stash on me when traveling! My other obsession is french fries. The regular fries, curly fries, wedge fries, waffle fries, seasoned fries, crinkle cut, cajun fries—how fat do I sound? I’m almost willing to try different foods when i’m traveling but no matter where I go, I gotta try the fries.
I just want to say THANK YOU to those that tell me I inspire them! It really does mean a lot to me and that inspires me to keep going. Please don’t hesitate to let me know if my page helped or not. I am not a writer-at all, I actually never realized how much I hated writing until I dedicated myself to this lol. I am new to the blogging life but I love sharing my stories with others! Don’t be a stranger, come say hey!
